Most of the footage was shot by Malcolm Venville at Anonymous Content and edited, color graded, conformed and mixed in December. The newborn footage, however, was filmed on New Year's Eve at North Shore University Hospital.

With the permission of both the hospital administrators and the families involved, three camera crews positioned themselves throughout the maternity ward waiting to capture the first baby born that year.

Once the baby arrived, the footage was rushed into editorial at Hogarth’s in-house facility, where the spot was re-cut and finished overnight using the newly captured material so it could air just a few days later.
